bill burchmore
Did Bill Burchmore make any masks in the 70's? In "Saving Face" it says that he most likely made Ken Drydens first mask in 1970.
I'm just surprised that he didn't stay around hockey longer, and design more fiberglass masks. It was his idea and concept to mold fiberglass to a goalies face for protection. I wish he would have stuck around a little longer and made more masks. After he invented the pretzel style, it seems like he left hockey and maskmaking completely.

It's a little known fact that Bill invented the Fox Network's Foxtrac puck as well... :)
