Glenn!!
I'm wondering how your trip to Rocklahoma was! Some kind soul took some video of the band's performance, posted them on YouTube, and I caught a glimpse of you on the big screen while watching "Ready".

Re: Glenn!!
TAKEN FROM MYSPACE BLOG....
Ok theres a hell of alot to report...but as I covered the Nevada/Las Vegas experience briefly I'll skip straight to Rocklahoma.
Got into Tulsa at 5pm Wednesday as planned and dropped our stuff quickly into the hotel and made a b-line to the Rocklahoma grounds.
Got there in time to catch Firehouse who were pretty good then Jackyl and Ratt...having seen all these bands last year they were all as expected and on form. Jackyl did a meet and greet which i loitered at until Ratt hit the stage...the Ratt setlist started with the entire first ep (all 6 tracks) and pretty much covered all the usual stuff they play although there was nothing from the '99 album this time. A good night but fk was I tired so we went back to the hotel and got a good sleep.
The next day was one of the 2 best of the festival with the mighty Vain playing not to mention Dokken who are another of my all-time faves!
First up was Jetboy who played a great set in the pouring rain. Although not all that familiar with their stuf i'm pretty sure it was all off the first 2 cds plus they played a Johnny Cash cover which is their new single..great set cool band! House Of Lords followed and were ok I'm not a fan but they sounded ok. I was ore interested in checking out the merch and trying to track down Danny West from Vain who was gonna try and hook me up with some backstage access. Alas I couldn't find him and returned to front row center for their set. They played a blinder with classics from No Respect and more obscure songs like Love Drug and Push Me Over thrown in for good measure. I caught the attention of Danny after the gig and scored what I needed to have access backstage the whole festival...AWESOME!
As for the rest of the bands that day Enuff Z Nuff were great with Donnie Vie back on vocals. LA Guns were pretty good with their new vocalist (the runner up from Rockstar INXS!!). Dokken were great but unfortiunately the set was almost identical to last year with nothing from the awesome new cd,,typical! Sebastian Bach I missed as I was hanging backstage and don't like him at all. Bret Michaels was pretty good playing a mix of Poison hits and a few new ones from his solo disc.
Backstage I caught up with all the guys from Vain and met Ash's lovely wife Christy, met the guys from Jetboy who were really cool guys, met Chip and Donnie from Enuff Z Nuff also great guys, waited an hour to meet Don Dokken and get some stuff signed..well worth it as he was very nice and got a cool photo with the legend that he is! A great day all round.
Ok so its day 3 (Friday) and the day starts off with XYZ we got there in time for a quick lunch in the tent and of course because we were filling our face we failed to realize XYZ had started...I went out to checka nd they were already into their second song...they played a selection of tracks from their 2 albums and sounded great. Terry Ilous was in fine voice and teh abnd looked and played great. Good start to the day for sure. Armoured sain were next up and were suprisingly very good indeed. John Bush is a fantastic frontman and the band were excellent.
Met Lenny Wolf from Kingdom Come the day before and he was a real cool funny guy. There was a fair delay while the bands german crew soundchecked and when the band hit the stage they were LOUD very very LOUD but super clear and gave a great show. Anotehr surprise of the festival . Alot of the songs were probabaly unknown to most of the crowd as they played quite a few from their later albums but also quite a few from In Your Face and the S/T album from the 80's.
Now the day turned a bit average for me...Living Color, Nightranger, Extreme and Triumph.... all bands I couldn't give a **** about...having said that Nightranger were ok when they rocked but alas they play these gay ballads that make me sick and the drummer is an A Grade nerd who looks like Neil iamond rather than a cool rockstar and for soem ****ed up reason he sings lead a bit even though Jack Blades is much better not to mention a million times cooler than that dork!
Extreme I HATE and Triumph were lets just say very Spinal Tap and bought the crowd vibe to a stand still...boring as ****!
Day 4 started off with the mighty Big **** one of the side stages at 10am. They rocked hard and should've rightly been on the main stage they were that good. Singer Robert Mason is ex Lynch Mob and David Henzerling is ex King Kobra so these guys have been around and know what theyre doing. I've got all 3 of tehir cds and was overjoyed to meet them all after the show and get stuff signed and photos etc. Top guys too! Pretty Boy Floyd played on the main satge next and were ok much better than I would've expected but still not my type of music! Every Mothers Nightmare were ok but looked like a bunch of homeless gardeners in their shorts..looked like Ugly Kid Joe rejects!
Tota Tora were next and were fantastic it was the first time they'd played in like 14 years or something but you wouldn't have known. Thye played a selection of stuff off teir 2 cds from the late 80's and went down well with the ever increasing crowd.
Black N Blue were next so me and Julez got front row center for thsi and the band delivered big time in the 100+ degree heat. Bassist Patrick Young required oxygen toward the end of the set due to heat exhaustion but after a short delay came back to finish the set like the trooper he is... While the hideous Trixter played we went backstage to talk to teh Bn' B guys and hang out. They were all cool especially drummer Pete Holmes and Jeff Woop Warner. Met the guys from Kix while we were out back too...UNREAL!
A massive storm rolled in while we were out in the backstage area with torretial rain and 65mph wind..very scary with chairs and sgtuff flying through the air and people running for their lives for shelter. The 2 sde stages collapsed and there was a resulting 2 hour delay on the main stage!
After the delay Lynch Mob played a killer set which was all taken from teh Wicked sensation album with Mr Scary and Into The Fire by Dokken thrown in for good measure (comparison??).
Next up was one band i'd been waiting to see for many many years and even though it rained heavily throughout tehir entire set I remained front row centre and rocked out like a maniac..the band in question THE MIGHTY KIX!! They were phenomenal Steve Whiteman is one of the best frontmen in rock and the band were on fire palying an 11 song set covering most of theri studio albums. Highlights being Yeah Yeah Yeah, Sex and Cold Shower.
Lita Ford was next but I sat in the tent and ate and dried out coz I got no time for her lame ass music! Warrant finished off teh day with a killer performance and Jani redeemed himself big time after the Las Vegas show the week before,,,we left the venue very happy and relieved!
That day I also met Randy O from Odin, Fred Coury from Cinderella, George Lynch and Oni Logan(Lynch Mob) and Neil Turbin original vocalist from Anthrax...probably more but i can't remeber at the moment!
More to come stay tuned!!!!!!!!!!!
