Introductions.
I've had a request for the Introduction thread to go back up, and in the interestes of all newbies I think it's a good idea.
So jump on here, say hi, and tell us a little bit about yourself.
I'm Sinead, otherwise known as DGG. I'm from Ireland, but I live in Sheffield at the moment. Musically I love everything from Vain to Slayer to Tom Waits. I can listen to music from one end of the day to the other but what I love more than anything is live gigs.
I decided to build this board and the Danny West site Danny West simply because I wanted them up on the net and they weren't there already.
Hope everyone enjoys them, and if you have any problems with any area of the boards I'm happy to help.

I'm Vainiac, known in most circles as PillOfPOISON.
I'm 21, male, and currently attending Shippensburg University for my B.A. in Communications/Journalism (print emphasis).
My favorite bands are Vain, Poison, Ratt, Motley Crue, Faster Pussycat, etc., but I also enjoy the Cure, the WiLDHEARTS, the Go-Go's, Nirvana, and many other acts.
I also know more about 'hair-metal' (for lack of a better term) than the average person should.

O.k. then - my name is Stephanie - I don't have any other names I'm aware of.
I live in a little town in Germany and love music, all types of music really, there's hardly anything I won't listen to - especially if it's danceable. You'd probably be amazed at what I consider dancable... 
I'm here because Sinead, Lexie and Spoony forc...I mean they made me aware of this wonderful place and introduced me to Vain's music, which I hadn't been familiar with until recently.
I am, in all honesty, not the biggest Vain fan ever but I appreciate good, honest music and really liked what I have heard so far - a couple of live shows would be nice, since I couldn't make it to any of the last UK gigs.

Hey everyone...thanks for the entertainment these last couple of months...I've gotten some good laughs reading the posts on here! I am the wife of your beloved man on bass, and now that I can't post on here anonymously as "guest" I figured I'd better come out of hiding! I heard many stories about the "roving troupe of internationals" (or whatever Ash called you road doggs!) from the last tour. You sound like a crazy bunch and I hope I can make the next tour to join in the fun.
I will mostly be a "spectator" on the board but when something amuses me (like DGG's observation of Ash previously resembling a drag queen!) I'll jump in! P.S. DGG, what's 'lippy'?!

19 from Leicester in the uk, currently working in a ****ty call centre and spend most of my time either ****ed up on booze and various other substances or playing my guitar.
I never really used to be into rock music until I picked up a copy of Appettite for Destruction a little over 3 years ago, the second I got enough money (i.e. my first pay cheque) just over a year later I bought my first guitar, so I have Slash to thank for that
My favourite bands are: Guns N' Roses, Vain & Avenged Sevenfold, though i'm also a massive fan of the like of Poison, Motley Crue, Silvertide, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Faster Pussycat, Bon Jovi and the ilk
Looking to join a band in the next year or so, I just need to grow my hair a little longer and get a nice marshall amp !!

Unfortnately for me I live in Melbourne Australia (a great place to visit...not to live!) I am male, strictly hetrosexual, older and wiser than you are and I do like Vain just a little bit!
Other bands who's cds and dvds take up too much space in my house are UFO, LOUDNESS, JUDAS PRIEST, DOKKEN, JOURNEY, SCORPIONS, H.I.M., RATT, KIX, AEROSMITH, BANG TANGO, SIAM SHADE, TNT, EUROPE, CINDERELLA, THE CURE, GREAT WHITE, PRIMAL FEAR, QUEENSRYCHE, LUNA SEA AND MORE!
I drink too much, I eat too much crap food and will no doubt die of a heart attack or something sooner rather than later!
I spend way too much time on this computer and when I'm not doing that i go out see bands and party - hence the name! Oh yeah and I also have a****ty job but lets try and forget that shall we!
My favorite movies of all time are Edward Scissorhands, The Mask and Freddy Got Fingered and I have an unatural obsession for actress Tara Reid pre tit-job!!!!!!!
My friends reckon I'm a moron and they should know as they quite easily fit that catergory too...but I do love em!!
I hate sports and I am definately one of the laziest bastards I know..Other than that I guess I'm not a bad bloke!!!!
The highlight of my life thus far apart from some unmentionable things has been going to Europe and seeing a few bands in May just gone including Vain (natch!!), UFO, TNT, Europe, Pink Cream 69, Soul Sirkus etc....oh what a great time it was...and next year I intend to do a part 2 to add onto that adventure and maybe even hit the US for the first time..but we'll see how the bank balance holds shapes up as far as the US bit is concerned!
Too meet me is to feel sorry for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, here goes...
My name is Shelby, I'm 34 and live in California. I'm a SF Bay Area native and currently call San Luis Obispo my home. My 2nd home is the nearest Starbucks! My SN is supposed to be "Vain Dame" but I f***ed up the spelling when I registered on the new forum and I've been too lazy to change it.
I've been a Vain fan since 1988 and followed them religiously for about 2-3 years, then they kind of fell off the planet and so did I. I have to thank Vainiac aka PillOfPoison for my regained interest in the band. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't have known about Davy's website or the fact that Vain has other released & unreleased material. He and I post on a couple of different boards so if you see some much loved banter between us, you can just ignore it. 
I work part-time as an aesthetician during the day and at night I'm an office supervisor for a produce company. When I have downtime in the evenings I can be found cruising the web.
Other bands I like are RATT, Motley Crue, Poison, Cinderella, Dokken, The Donnas, INXS, Duran Duran, and No Doubt, just to name a few.
This message forum kicks ass and I thank the kind souls that put this together. It's nice to meet others that are crazy about Vain!

Hey all. My name is Cheryene and I live just outside of Albuquerque,New Mexico. I'm 41, but would rather act 21---so I do. There's not alot to do here........ movies, shopping and other stuff that I really don't get into. Unless it's shopping for cd's or music related stuff. I live from concert to concert and also like to stalk bands for pics and autographs. I work as a vet tech at the university here and it pretty much sucks. In my spare time I play guitar, sing and try to write songs. Right now I'm trying to find some people to maybe form a band and do mostly originals and maybe some covers. We'll see how that goes.
I've been into Vain since 1989. I was checking out albums one day and saw No Respect. I thought the cover was really cool so I bought it. I went home,played it and was blown away!! They've been my favorite band ever since. Can't live without 'em!!!!
