My board came in second for the BOTW on May 10 and I believe that we will be automatically eligible for the BOTM contest next time? If that is so, are we allowed to change the backgrounds, etc on the board, as long as we don't make any major changes to the board layout? I'm new to the award arena, and I want to be sure I interpreted the rules correctly.

Hi Phoenix712,
Yes you can make almost any changes you want  , our only real restrictions after the BotW round is that your board has to be open to the public for the competitions. Of course if your board wins the BotY we want your board to either be open for the entire year of its reign or have weekly open times for sign-up

Hi Susan King,
A Thunder Nominee is a board that has placed high enough so that there is no way it can be knocked off the BotY contenders list so they will be in the BotY Thunder and Lightning round unless they tell us otherwise.
