I have been following the upcoming movie "The Nativity Story," which releases December 1, 2006.

Any thoughts about this film?

Hi Lacy, great to see you here. Is this film being released theatricallY?
I would be very interested in knowing which greeting from the Archangel will be used.

Re: The Nativity Story
Hi Tony...
It is being released theatrically, on December 1. New Line Cinema is behind it; I'm not certain of the distributor (if they even have one yet).
I interviewed Alexander Siddig (Gabriel), but didn't ask him what his greeting was from the script...darn....

Lacy, it really is no big deal, just would be interested. How were you able to get an interview with the actor portraying Gabriel?

Re: The Nativity Story
Well, it's a little complicated, but I connected with the webmistress of Sid's official fan site, after finding out he played Gabriel and hit it off with interest in the movie and also with some interesting personal "coincidences" from our pasts...so since she had Sid's email/contact address, she sent some questions along for me and he responded.

I also interviewed Mychael Danna, the composer, just by emailing him some questions directly via his contact info from his website.

I have also snail mailed questions to Ciaran Hinds, who plays King Herod, but without response to date (it may take a while across the pond and with his busy schedule). Another woman in the film business offered me some help to get some phone interviews with Catherine Hardwicke (director) and Keisha Castle-Hughes (Mary), which we are still working on. I didn't really ask for the help, but they both have been kind to come forward to help me with my Nativity Story website. The actors/composer have been very gracious with their responses as well.
God is good...

I am as well Michael. Looking very forward to seeing this. I am curious though which rendering of Scripture they will be following.
