"‘Tonight, in the city of David, a Savior is born, 'tis Christ the Lord.'"

"There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church, which is, of course, quite a different thing."
-Bishop Fulton J. Sheen
Placating terrorists, meeting with dictators, compassion for murderers... but no humanity for the unborn... incredible.

Re: Tea Party Catholics

Lauchlin,
I am no fan of democracy and would be very comfortable, far more comfortable, living in a truly Catholic country with a truly Catholic king. I see no possibility of that so it is in my interest to minimize the power over me of those who are largely hostile to my faith. If I were Muslim I imagine I would want a Muslim government seeing that as being in my interest.

Long live Otto von Hapsburg!
Long live Louis XX!

"If 95% of the population was muslim, would we still want religion to be on the plate"

See Bosnia - the muslims were happy because christians paid a special tax for being left alone emoticon

Re: Tea Party Catholics

Here in America we pay lots of taxes in exchange for being left alone. Sometimes, they still don't leave us alone.

That is an interesting analogy. We are becoming dhimmis in a secular state.

Re: Tea Party Catholics

quote:

It has become abundantly clear in the second half of the twentieth century that Western Man has decided to abolish himself. Having wearied of the struggle to be himself, he has created

his own boredom out of his own affluence,
his own impotence out of his own erotomania,
        his own vulnerability out of his own strength;

himself blowing the trumpet that brings the walls of his own city tumbling down, and, in a process of auto-genocide, convincing himself that he is too numerous, and labouring accordingly with pill and scalpel and syringe to make himself fewer in order to be an easier prey for his enemies; until at last, having educated himself into imbecility, and polluted and drugged himself into stupefaction, he keels over a weary, battered old brontosaurus and becomes extinct.
