posticon Useful link

Hello all

I was having a browse for some more resources on the net and came across this link:

http://www.livinglifetothefull.com/index.php

Living Life to The Full On-line is a powerful new life skills resource.

The course has been written by a Psychiatrist who has many years of experience using a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) approach and also in helping people use these skills in everday life. During the development phase of the course, each module has been used by a wide range of health care practitioners and members of the public.

I have had a look and it seems quite useful. It is fairly general in approach as it aims to help anyone with depression/ stress and anxiety. Worth a peek though.

I am feeling a bit perkier today

Thanks Satsumagirl. Similar to that is http://www.moodgym.anu.edu.au/ which has been around for a little while.

I find CBT very hard to get my head round re the breaking things down into thoughts-feelings-actions etc that is part of the CBT process.
It doesn't work well for me due to various cognitive difficulties i have. I tend to become confused/frustrated and then stressed by such an approach but i know a number of people who have benefited quite a lot from a CBT approach.

Thanks reactive. I have got moodgym and do find it helpful. However I am mainly concentrating on just working with my CBT therapist right now ( I agree it doesn't work for everyone).

I'll look at that site. I have done moodgym. Was very interesting. It helped while I was waiting for CBT.
