Re: Mental health week on community channel

No offence to you Parlicoot but i am wary about expressing my feelings due to past abuse here.

I will stick to posting the occasional link. That hopefully may be of benefit/interest to someone.

I need to know that unlike before here people will be supportive and sympathetic not just when i am in a good/happy etc state but also when i am in a bad/stressed/anxious/paranoid/depressed etc state.

Past abusive experiences and less than supportive responses at times when i desperately needed comfort and support here have made me understandably very wary.

When i know i can trust you(in the plural. Not counting newcomers in my absence.) not to treat me like that again i will gladly open up more and go beyond posting links.

It has taken a lot for me to come back here after past hurtful and negative experiences.

For my own health i must be cautious.

Tim for your own sake why don't you just stay away from here? or restrict yourself to Private messaging those of us who have been supportive of you. Even this recent post runs the risk of incurring the wrath of those people here who seem to have it up their noses for you. If memory serves me right you have been at war here for a number of years now, This must be very upsetting to you. So why don't you just stop it now? You undoubtedly have a lot to offer to and gain from this very supportive environment, but to be in this state of constant war is not doing you or anyone else here any good. If you really wanted to bring peace to this situation you really wouldn't have brought yourself to the attention of your detractors by posting this message, now would you?
Take care
Vincent

Vince. Either you know much more about mental health than myself or you have just opened up the hornet nest. I hope this isn't going to kick off the rubbish and nastiness that has happened previously. Tim was made out to be a bad one when we all (who were around at the time) know who was being the bad penny. And I just reckon that bad penny will roll up again to cause more anguish and trouble.

Tim: You have posted really good links the last couple of days. Please don't stop putting these on as I reckon lots of people are finding it a help. I am so pleased to see them, and you posting on here again.

I never condoned what happened in the past and I think you were treated unfairly. I hope that you have the strength to ignore the ignorance of others not as clever as you, and will continue to give the support you have done in the past.
