THE VICAR'S VIXEN - KRISTIN LAWRENCE

The Vicar’s Vixen
Author: Kristin Lawrence
Published by: Dark Eden Press
www.darkedenpress.com
Available: Now

When Jenny quits her job and travels across the country to England, she stumbles upon a diary in her cousin’s cottage. She reads the diary, hears a noise outside, and the next thing you know she travels through time. Landing in the year 1807, the date she left off reading in the diary, she ends up in the arms of Vicar David Bryce. Jenny helps David find the author of the diary on a journey of fantastical adventures.

David is a respectable man in the community, and fights for control when Jenny is near him. In more ways then one, Jenny challenges David. His beliefs are not what she stands for. (You’ll have to read the end to find out what happens. I won’t give it away.)

For me The Vicar’s Vixen proved to be a wonderful time travel novella. I was completely absorbed into the characters. From the first page to the last, I wanted to know what was going to happen next. This is Kristin Lawrence’s first published short story, and I’m sure looking forward to her next. I recommend this sensual short story highly.

When I first started reading romance, it was historical, historical, historical. I can't remember the title of the book, but Jude D. wrote a time travel historical, and then I was hooked on those. lol I'm sure I'll love it. :o) It's just finding the damned time! I have a pitch coming up on April 5th, and I'm in the middle of a job search right now. Tor just got home (He's been gone for a year - Iraq).

I'll probably start reading it tonight, because I'm getting most of my college and editing done during the day today.

I can so remember a time when reading was my only priority. lol Then I decided I wanted to write the darned things. What was I thinking? LOL

I know that Jude D. book - A Knight in Shining Armor, I think. It is difficult to find the time, especially when so much is going on. Good luck with the pitch, job search, and congrats on the homecoming!

My first romance was a Kathleen Woodiwiss - can't remember the name, but it's her Civil War one where the heroine is disguised as a boy. It was my grandmother's. I scammed it during a visit and hid in a quiet room to read it. Still can't believe my grandmother read romance too. She was so... sensible. emoticon
