This Texas-set series (the Callahan brothers) is a mix of the hero, 007 and the heroine, paparazzo.

The paparazzo heroine should be irredeemable --I mean, who thinks what they do is important? -- but Torie Bradshaw is a woman who's been shorted in the love department, grown up inspite of a series of hard knocks and doesn't believe in whinning -- only winning. I had immense respect for this character from page 1.

Matt Callahan is everything 007 should have been, and more. He is a true super spy, the dark, tortured hero with a Texas-sized chip on his shoulders -- that thanks to Ms. Dawson's writing is perfectly motivated -- and he's hot enough to sizzle the pages.

The sexual tension is enough to sear the print beneath any reader's fingertips, the characters all come with serious baggage to unload, and the suspense doesn't stop.

I thoroughly enjoyed this newest Signet contemporary release by Ms. Dawson.

You know, Geralyn has been on my to buy list forever. Then again so have so many other authors and I just can't get to them all. I've heard about her Callahan men. I think I need to check into them sooner rather than later.
