SURVIVING DEMON ISLAND by Jaci Burton
Jaci's a recent add to my author's to read. In the last couple of months I've read 4 of her books and am currently on the 5th. When I read SURVIVING DEMON ISLAND I discovered a talent I can only hope to one day achieve.
Jaci builds a complex world with intrigue and interesting characters. At no time did I ask myself why the characters acted teh way they did, or think they'd acted out of character in a bad way.
Each person that was called to be on the new reality TV show SURVIVING DEMON ISLAND had been called because of a deeper purpose. Realizing how serious their situations were, fighting for their lives and the lives of their friends, this unexpected group of Demon Hunters quickly turn into a tight unit.
The hero and heroine have emotional baggage like everyone. They have reasons for not wanting a relationship, but holding true to the theme of romance and love, they realize that only if they can love each other enough will they be able to survive and defeat their demons.
