AAR
From what I understand, the Chinese beat the Marines by a narrow margin. Oh well, but seeing as my gun kept me of the field from 12:00 onward there wasn't much I could do.
I chopped an adsurd amount of balls today. On top of that both my squeeges decided to disintegrate today, so that made it even better. The funny thing is that two weeks ago I used Marbs in a walk-on game and didn't chop a single ball. I also had several breaks in my pods.
The game was great from what I played in. A good hard battle back and forth all day. Red needs to work on covering their flank though, I led several attacks down to where we could see the Red Rejuv. We also almost lit up a Red Commander with his mask off on the field. I don't say this to embarrass anyone, but merely to pound the point of safety home.
Who was the Game MVP? I was told by a ref that one player was already under consideration early in the game, for his contributions to the Blue lead.
Also, (personal gloating moment) DeltaX - Blue General - and I were the ones who lead the charge and took the house with the rocket launcher right next to Red Rejuv.
Blue Commander
EDIT:
In conclusion, OA did a great job with the plannning and execution of this scenario, so keep up the good work.

Re: AAR
This one was a nail-biter!
I started the morning walking the parking lot, and it seemed everywhere I looked, all I saw was blue tape. That was the last time I saw parking lot all day. I think Red was expecting a few more walk-ons to bolster the ranks, but the rain may have kept them away, and I was worried.
But, the guys came ready to play, and I felt like they did their best to stay on the field as much as possible. And we fought hard! (So hard I broke my bullhorn) Still, I had to make the choice to throw as many bodies as I could muster directly at the mission points, even if it meant giving up other field positions.
Sometimes it worked, as when my guys gave me the pleasure of being able to personally walk up to untie the flag at Lan-yu for the deep recon mission, or when they blew up the Saloon before I had gone 10 steps to carry a launcher in that direction. After that and the egg mission, I was feeling pretty good, but it didn't last long...
When we captured a Blue rocket launcher, maybe sending it back gift wrapped by the Yellow Scorpion wasn't the best idea, because Delta-X did a great job getting you guys fired up, too. We ran into repeated trouble in the Refinery, and were soundly beaten back out of Knightmare Alley during the TP mission. Your dominance in the final battle speaks for itself, and for that my hat is certainly off to you.
I knew it would be close, especially after how hard both sides had fought. After the game and before the scores were announced, I talked to a lot of very tired players from both sides, and everybody seemed to think the other side had won, no matter what team they were actually on.
For pulling it off, I have to offer huge thanks to my commanders John, Sean, Ryan, and Lawrence, the teams I always saw on the frontlines - KnightStalkers, Nemesis, and Riot, and the players I had out there who were willing to push forward just one bunker more instead of falling back.
Thanks guys, I had a blast.

Re: AAR
Solid job General!!! Proud to serve...
Last night the wife reminded me she got me tickets to the NASCAR race on May 5th at RIR (xmas present). So I'm blowing the dust off the pump gun. Looking forward to the 12th of April.
It is funny how young and old I feel playing paintball. It's kinda like Bart Simpson wondering how something could both suck and blow.

Wayne!!! Great news for you. The NASCAR race is on Saturday night May 4th. You will have 7 hours to get from the race to Bowie. Heck, it's right up 301!

Re: AAR
Yes, that wasnt a very good idea sending that back like that. Especialy with the ref taking a picture of it, with you rubbing it. After that, I wanted to get back on the field and get you guys, but there was no other commander around to take my spot. My hands down to Mark. Good job.
I loved it how both of us had broken voices from screaming at the end. It just made us look like we were doing our job to the best extent.

Re: AAR
well I dont know what was up with the paint. There is no way that everyone was having gun difficulties so I believe it was the paint. I chopped half of the paint I shot probably but it was still a very fun day!

Re: AAR
As a Red commander and member of the 'unaffiliated rabble', I'd like to say that it was an honor to serve last weekend. When I heard that we'd be outnumbered, I found myself a bit more excited actually. I love a good challenge. The fact that we won despite that makes the victory all the sweeter!
Clearly, the reason we won is illustrated by the Marines' surprise at our 'weak flanks'. When you don't have a lot of bodies, you only send them where the points are. Yellow5 stayed focused on the missions and didn't get shaken when the Americans came knocking on our CP door.
Know this Marines, you didn't gain anything that we didn't give you. ;-)
I'd also like to fully endorse the honored players/teams on the Red side. Each clearly deserved to be recognized.
This is the part of the post where I curse the heavens and my wife's best friend for having her damn wedding on May 4!! Who has weddings on Sunday??
The next game should be mid-June, right?
-Sean (Hylander)
P.S. - I agree that something must have been up with that paint. A LOT of people were complaining about it. I think at least some of them knew what they were talking about.

Re: AAR
All in all, this was a great game. This is the first time that I have ever played a significant portion of the game without a gun. The only downside (aside from losing and the paint problems turning my hopper into a soup bowl) was that no other moment for the rest of the day could match the adrenaline rush I got from rushing out into the middle of that one fire fight unarmed and retrieving that blue gas can.
