History Repeats Itself
Some generals personally lead from the front.
And some generals lead from their HQ tent.
But it is the (fortunately) rare general who can personally lead the entire front without leaving his HQ tent.
That general was later found in his bunker, pistol in hand, the paint on his temple still wet. A Red officer was heard to comment "I think that's the first thing he hit all day." Then pointing out the four marks on the wall, "Of course, it took him a couple of tries."
Since experience is the thing you get instead of the thing you wanted, thanks Wayne and the Reds.
Thank you Blue for your misplaced loyalty  and willingness to continue the fight throughout the ever lengthening day.
And in closing, I would just like to say that I haven't had my bathwater turn that yellow since I was two years old.

I feel sorry for harp players, because they are always inducing in themselves a sense of nostalgia.

Somebody should post it for posterity so it's probably best that be me - the final score was 2100 to 950.
That way we can note things like "Since the tie breaking duel of Kobra Command, Red and Blue had alternating victories until Stalingrad 2." - i.e. field position is not a decisive factor.
Still working on lessons learned.
