Re: ghillie questions
Most important
Your ghillie suit must be made with flame retardent material. You will know if it is by checking the manufacturers label. If you made it yourself it is probably not a safe item to wear.
Ghillie suit wearers must still be taped like any other player on the field.
The other most important thing to remember about ghillie suits:
ANY HITS COUNT.EVEN HIT THAT DO NOT BREAK
If you are hit by a paintball you are out. This is due to number of bounces that happen as you are effectively wearing a padded suit. This is not only for your safety but the safety of others around you.
There are refs and player refs that know these rules and will help enforce them to stop you from being over shot.
Hope that helps.
I have seen ghillie suits work very very well in the past, not very often. You will find you could get a few kills but then word spreads quickly.
--- I feel sorry for harp players, because they are always inducing in themselves a sense of nostalgia.

Re: ghillie questions
i have one of those fake leaf suits, not a traditional ghillie. it is made by RedHead hunting gear. it is 100% polyester. and it is basically very thin mesh + the fake leaves. there is no flame retardent label.
is this okay?
also,
GHILLIE SUITS:
ALL ghillie suits must be inspected and approved by the game director prior to entering the field of play. If you are wearing a ghillie suit, ALL direct hits/impacts count during day and night play. No paint checks! One direct impact = you're gone.
thats from :http://www.scenariopaintball.com/rules/
so do i have to check in before the game

Sounds like your Ghillie is going to be fine - but you still have to be taped (on the outside) and every hit counts as an out, even if it doesn't break.

Jim will be around in the morning - ask for him & just have him check it for you. It shouldn't be a big deal, but always better safe than sorry.

Re: ghillie questions. please help. really. help. do it. now please
Another reason why every hit counts is some times the paintball hits and hides in the mesh. And some times when it even breaks its never noticed. Also it makes it hard for a reff to find the hit. So most hits are for you as a player to tell the truth and call yourself out if you feel the hit. And I have never seen one ever checked in before a game, so i dont see why yours would need to be. I have also seen at other fields where the marker was taped instead of the arm, but im sure that OA will have you tape your arm at there field. Hope this helped you.
