base attacks

Are there any special rules concerning base attacks? for example, do you get points for eliminating a general or taking over the opponents base? i am thinking about planning a base attack for stalingrad but i dont really know the rules concerning it.

Re: base attacks

There are no points for killing the general, or for destroying a base. In fact, I don't think a base CAN be destroyed, by either Nerfs of Not-TNT.

I think there is also a rule that limits players from getting any closer than 75 ft. of the opposing base, but I am not sure if this applies only for a swarming mass on the doorstep rather than one or two players sneaking in.

Yeah there isn't much of a point. If you are doing a push after breaking threw the other teams line it is better to push to the base rather then just stop. But you don't want to plan to take out the base unless the genral orders it to happen. There is more helpful things that you can do.

If he gets shot, he's out just like any other player. But, since his command tent (the base) is a safe area with no shooting allowed, you would have to wait for him to leave. And, if he does leave for some reason, chances are his XO would be in place to cover for him when missions are released.
