I agree to reserve channels 6-10 for Red and channels 11-15 for Blue.

Designated Radio Channels Red 6-10 Blue 11-15
Available radio channels are shrinking with the increasing number of players at OA scenario games. At the last couple games I had or witnessed several "discussions" over the radio of who had precedence for that channel. (My favorite resolution was "This is General Lee. Please get off of MY channel.")
To alleviate these conflicts, I propose the following "gentleman's agreement": Red gets channels 6-10 and Blue gets channels 11-15 during OA Scenario games. (or Jim making this a "rule" would remove the need for this post.)
This does not address jamming, eavesdropping, or spoofing one way or the other. It's just a way to sort out who has precedence if you are trying to get a free channel.
Why those channels? Legally, you can only use FRS channels 8-14 (or GMRS channels 1-7 at FRS radio settings) unless you have an FCC license. (This agreement also does not address having that license, either. You do have one, don't you? ) This splits the number of legal channels to 3 for Red, 4 for Blue. (I figured Red is usually the bad guys so they get one less legal channel.)
If this proposal is adopted maybe it should be moved to Forum section "Rules and Safety the OA way"?

Re: Designated Radio Channels Red 6-10 Blue 11-15
I feel that if we're going to talk radios, jamming needs to be addressed too.
I think that jamming should be discouraged on the radio period. In the event that somebody get hurt and they do not have the ability to reach and change the channel they are on, jamming does nothing but hinder help from coming because all they get is a constant call alert. It is a safety issue that should not be compromised because somebody thinks they're "cool" by keeping the primary radio channels tied up with "jamming." I for one am encouraging all sorts of trickery, reconnaissance, and plain out shenanigans with all of my people. However, jamming is not one of those simply for the fact people may not be able to get out on that channel if something happen. I understand the same thing can happen if there's legitimate talk on that channel but there are at least breaks in people talking. From what I've experienced every single scenario I've been to has been a CONSTANT childish, irritant.
Being gentlemen and all I think both sides should make an effort to curb this behavior if it starts.

The silly wabbit came up with a good idea and I've been watching it progress. People will be people though.
Having players on a radio freq. to coordinate their game day is an excellent boost to the event. It would allow more people to actually be involved in missions. How many times have you gone to a game with a small group (team) of friends and wished you could have linked up with a group that got to run all of the missions?
Having more organized groups/teams to do missions would put Big Jim on the spot to have to be even more creative
Cheating isn't allowed at OA. That's why most of our players come to us to play. To have fun.
I wouldn't allow jamming - period. It's a game! Jamming is rude! Jamming is cheating.
Monitoring opponents - duh, what do you really gain. It's a game! Monitoring is cheating.

Thats what us Kent Island ballers do best... make ourselves out to look like the biggest homosexuals at OA. And we love it cause its pretty much a fact.
