Battle Dress Uniform
Hey guys,
Every year there is a small group of people who show up in military uniform accurate to the era. Which I think is pretty awesome. What can we do to rally more people to dress the part this year? They would make some great pictures to submit to the paintball magazines. Anybody?
Found a few sites, don't know if they're the cheapest though.
www.preservehistory.com
www.olive-drab.com
If anybody finds anything cheaper, post it!

Re: Battle Dress Uniform
FWIW the last time I was at H&H in Baltimore, they had several boxes of olive drab vintage surplus stuff hanging around.

Re: Battle Dress Uniform
Actually, I plan to show up with my unit (1st Batt'n Black Watch) and at least i'll wear my kilt in combat...but i don't know if I want my my m1936 BDU's and my Royal Scots Glengarry to get muddy while I'm representin the 51st HD!
Did you have a unit in Particular to portray? If you don't have a sqaud, you can definately join 1st section of our group.
(or bren gun section if you prefer...)

Re: Battle Dress Uniform
I was thinking I'd go for 101st airborne since I'm trying to get a spot in the castle at the start of the game. I'll be in costume this event, whether it's period clothing or not.

That's all? I don't even need to hit e-Bay for that, it's already in my closet!

Re: Battle Dress Uniform
Mine isn't period specific, but all i wear ever is digi-camo with my 101st patch. considering im hoping to start in castle that should be perfect, not to mention I bought the patch in Caen, France... a mear 15 minutes from Omaha beach at Normandy.

Bah, all the Tough Customers need are sweatpants, some shirts from the thrift store, and the hearts of champions.
