Scoring Revision

First, a big thanks to all of the players who braved the heat and attended this scenario. In spite of the high temperatures, the players kept their cool and played some great paintball! Kudos to all of those in attendance.

On to the main topic. Most players play scenario ball for the love of the game. It is not about winning or losing. It is about doing your best alongside and across from some of the best players in the region. However, we do keep score for a reason. After a review of the scoring, I noticed an error on my part in the score calculation. It is important to me that I correct this error and provide the proper information.

The error is as follows. On Mission #2, the fuel canisters were worth 50 points each for each canister collected and returned to the CP. On Mission #3, the fuel canisters were scored at 100 points each. However, due to an error on my part, I only awarded 50 points per canister for those collected in Mission #3. This error caused the Red to team be awarded 700 points instead of the 1400 points they deserved.

The ultimate outcome is that the Red team deserved credit for 2500 total points for the day compared to 2150 points earned by the Blue team. Even I can figure out that the Red team in fact DID earn the overall victory for this event.

Because of this discrepancy, I would like to extend both an apology and a congratulations to General Peter Mask and the members of the Red team. I have no excuse other than a simple mistake on the part of a worn out person. I will strive for accuracy and guarantee that a mistake such as this will not occur again.

In closing, thanks again to all who attended. Regardless of the score, it was a well fought battle on both sides and all involved should be proud of their effort.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again in September. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Re: Scoring Revision

Yeah, as much as I would like to think we pulled it off, the piles of props at our CP (or lack thereof) had me thinking Red was ahead by the end of the day, but not for lack of trying on the Blue side.

Well played, Red.

I also thought red had it. I had alot of fun, and to tell the truth if red did win instead of blue. I still would have said I had fun.
