I wanna play - again

I played for a bit, as a walk-on at Action Paintball in Taneytown, but living in Lineboro and working in Annapolis and running a farm with horses left me with little time for paintball.

Well, I'm in Pasadena now and it looks like Outdoor Adventures is the closet place to play. So I'm doing online recon first, by joining this forum.

Yeah, I'm an old fart in the second half of my 40's. I like woodsball/scenario/mil-sim - like that. I'm a loooong time Civil War reenactor - a cavalryman in a very authenticity oriented outfit - http://mainecav.org (lots of pictures there)

I tote a Tippman model 98 with a flatline and an M16 stock or a Tacomo Type I68 (AK47) which I just got.

So, hello. I hope to get out to OA soon, get back into the game - and meet some folks.

Hello Jerry. Welcome to the forums. If you liked Taneytown you will love OA. IMO it is the best field around. Living in Pasadena you have two options. The Rosedle field or the Bowie field. You are about the same distance from both (give or take a mile). Both have great woodsball fields. OA produces awesome scenarios. And don't think you are an old fart. Remember you are only as old as you feel. When I get out there and play paintball I feel like a kid again. After the first time you play, post up and tell us how you like OA.

We often see Hollywood1 feeling like a kid at the end of a scenario day, with comments like 'ahhh I cant get in my truck my back has seized up aain'.

Also hearing the joints cracking as he stands up after taking his lunchtime nap are obvious signs of his 'feeling young' again.....

hehehe...

After a night of sleeping on what felt like a high-aggregate, unsmoothed, concrete slab at Goose Creek bridge last October, after a whole day in the saddle and a 12 mile ride back yet to do - I watched with a great deal of envy as our newest and youngest member hopped up on his horse as if he were weightless.

But what doesn't kill you makes you...

wish it had - or stronger - I always mix those up. emoticon
