Re: hey nube here
Welcome to the OA forum rindao . When you say you are a newb, have you ever played paintball before? If not a scenario may be a little overwhelming. Find yourself some experienced players to help you.
Tips for playing the scenario:
1. Get familiar with the general scenario rules. OA goes by these general rules. Not everything you read in the rules will be in play at this scenario but it will give you an idea.
2. Show up as early as you can and get signed in.
3. Get your gear ready. Get your pods filled, your marker chrono'd and everything else ready as soon as you can so you are not rushing around at the last minute.
4. Remember who the field commanders for the side you are playing on are. They will be wearing armband tape. I forget what color. They can help you and give you directions.
5. Don't cheat (not saying you would). If someone has worked hard, climbed over hills and waded thru a creek to get you out, take the walk back to rejuv and give them their moment of glory. Hopefully others will show you the same respect.
6. Listen to the safety briefing. Lee gives it around 9am the morning of the scenario.
I can not think of anything else at the moment.
As for a renting a pair of goggles, I would call the field at 410-437-7492 and talk to Karen. She can help you out.
I would think 2 cases of paint you be enough. That is about how much the average player uses. Make sure to test the 98 Custom you are getting from your friend. I would really suck to get there in the morning only to find out there is a problem with it. Make sure it works a few days before the scenario so just in case you need something you can take care of it and play the scenario.

Re: hey nube here
Since goggles are a very important item to own in paintball games have you thought about buying only 1 case of paint for this game and getting a new pair of goggles instead?
On one case of paint you could still play plenty of paintball just dont longball get up close and make your shots count.
--- I feel sorry for harp players, because they are always inducing in themselves a sense of nostalgia.
