Re: Game Information, Map and Registration Are Available
$65 for Marballizers seems good to me. I played a game in Va wherea case of Karnage cost $85. Some balls came dimpled, and in most of the bags there were .43 caliber! Was told that the dimples would pop out with the rise of ambient temperature.
Go to Skirmish's site and look at the cost for paint for their ION game. 500 rounds for $35. $100 for one case. 5 cases for $85/case. 12 cases for $72/case. AND they donot mention what brand of paint will be used.
Even if you take 12 people, OA still comes out cheaper. Skirmish says that the average player uses 700 rounds. Even using a pump marker, one could use more.
So, does $65 for Marbs seem unreasonable?

Not to mention if you register online and buy your paint then, it is only $55 a case.

Re: Game Information, Map and Registration Are Available
Most people who play regularly each get a case for the day.
I know it doesn't help much to say "it depends on the person" but that's the truth...some people will shoot twice that, others might not shoot half. Until you get a feel for how much you shoot personally, a case is a safe bet...you can always get more, and if you have leftovers you can use them on a walk-on day if you have your own gear.

Are you playing around with the people here?
Only you know how much you should buy. There ain't no mathematical formula out there. It also depends on what type of marker you use; electro, mechanical, pump.
If this is your FIRST game, then buy a case and see how much you use, and how long it took to shoot it all. Then adjust your purchase/ rate of fire accordingly.

Buy 2 boxes of paint. One for yourself and one to donate to me. You can write it off on your taxes next year as a charitable donation. haha..

Re: Game Information, Map and Registration Are Available
I figured FFJim would chime in about the amount (he thinks) I will use. Last scenario I bought a case and split a case with a pump player on the team. I ended up running out just before the last battle and had to buy another case. I used one bag (500 balls) of the case I bought.
I think the amount of paint you would use would depend on a couple of different things:
1) The type of marker you are using (pump, mechanical, electro).
2) Do you spray the prey or do you like to be more calculating?
2) How aggressive a player you are (are you a hard charger? Do you like to be up front and in the middle of the action? Go looking for the action? Or do you like to sit back and wait for the action to come to you and retreat when things get hot and heavy).
