Marker maintenance
I just wanted to say a thank you to everyone out there for keeping your markers maintained and keeping an eye on their operation during play.
One of the refs told me that someone was having a problem with their marker and it was shooting extremely hot. The player chrono'd before play at 280 fps, but the problem came up and he got help. They chrono'd again when the problem came up and he was shooting a whopping 480fps. I'm happy that he realized that there was a problem and glad that no one got hurt as a result. The ref told me that it was the first marker he had shot that had recoil.
Kudos to all of you!

Re: Marker maintenance
I am surprised a paintball was able to come out of the barrel intacted at 480fps.
Glad I no one was on the receiving end of that.

Re: Marker maintenance
I'm just repeating what the ref told me. I don't know if it is possible or not as I am not that familiar with the velocities and how it relates to markers and such.

You are correct. His problem was that the balls were breaking in the breech/barrel.

Re: Marker maintenance
At 480 FPS I'm surprised that marker didn't blow to pieces!
