Operation: Snake Hunter Sunday, May 20

I made a crude map for Sunday's game so that SAR will have a clue where to find stragglers. Here:

http://www.oapaintball.com/images/GIJOEairsoft07.jpg

All players will receive a handout with a map on one side and rules on the other, but if you want the info ahead of time, here it is:

Game will start at 1000 hrs. SHARP. Safety briefing will be at 0915 hrs. Entry to playing field will close at 0950 hrs. and will remain closed until 10 minutes after game start. Advise arriving on site no later than 0845 hrs to register, gear up, fix your broken equipment that you forgot was broken, get chrono'd, break into teams, get a clue (optional) and get on the field.

Barrel Bags must be used. If you are not a live player in the game, you must cover your muzzle with a barrel bag.

You must have a “paid” wristband in order to play. DO NOT LOSE YOUR WRISTBAND. The FULL entry fee must be paid to obtain a replacement wristband.
Allowed Velocities (all guns chronographed with .20g bbs)
420 fps for woods play; 335 fps to enter the castle; 500 fps for snipers (125 foot engagement)

We will make spot velocity checks (with hand held chronos) during the games and breaks, including at respawn. The penalty for “hot” markers is ejection from the game. Your marker must be chronographed and re-tagged by an OA staff person. Players will be expelled from the event following a second violation of the chrono limit.

NO SHOOTING IN THE PARKING LOT. Airsoft guns may be discharged only on playing fields and chrono area.
LOCK YOUR CAR. Outdoor Adventures and its staff are not responsible for any items left in your vehicle. Give us your keys.

Medic Rules
Medics will be issued lengths of ¼” rope that is 24” long, with 5 simple knots in it. This rope is a "First Aid Kit".
Players have two choices when hit. Go to repawn or be “wounded”. If “wounded”, the player drops to the ground, either sitting, kneeling or laying down. The player MUST either place a barrel sock over the muzzle and point the muzzle straight up or, if the player does not have a barrel sock, point the butt-stock straight up. The ‘wounded’ player is still allowed to talk, and the clock starts ticking. Any other player that has a “First Aid Kit” (if the “wounded” player doesn’t already have one) has 2 minutes (wounded player counts to 120 if no watch) to get to the “wounded” player, untie the 5 knots, and tie the rope to the player's upper arm. At this point, the player is considered "Walking Wounded". He or she can do ANYTHING that any other active player could do. If the “Walking Wounded” is shot again, then he or she must remove the rope and respawn.
A medic can move to a "Walking Wounded" player, and fully heal them. He does this by untying the rope from the upper arm, and retying the five knots. At this point, the player is considered fully healed.
A medic cannot heal himself, either after initially getting shot, or after being treated and achieving "Walking Wounded" status. Medics must initially be treated by another player, and then seek another medic to get fully healed.
Teams will be allotted one Medic (signified by white arm tape) for every 25 players on that team.
Capturing wounded players is not allowed in this game.

Some missions use special props. Only the team assigned that mission may touch the props. If you touch the wrong prop it will DETONATE (but not be destroyed) and eliminate all players within a 25 foot radius, so DON’T PICK UP A PROP UNLESS IT’S IN YOUR MISSION.

• GOGGLES MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES OUTSIDE THE REGISTRATION & PARKING LOT AREAS.
• DO NOT SHOOT THE WILDLIFE.
• NO PHYSICAL CONTACT. You may not touch another player.
• NO SHOOTING AT THE HEAD OR NECK. At point blank range (20 feet or closer), you must not shoot any player above the shoulders. No executions, please.
• NO BLIND SHOOTING. Always be aware of where you are shooting. You may NOT stick your gun through a window or door, around a tree or over a log or barricade, etc., and blindly shoot at another player.
• NO POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS GEAR. Knives, trip wire, firearms, explosives, incendiaries, etc. Lock up the toys in your car and we’ll keep your keys for you.
• NO SMOKING except in the parking lot. NO ALCOHOL OR ILLEGAL DRUGS, even if you offer to share.
• NO VERBAL ABUSE, such as slurs against anyone’s race, color, religion or parents.
• NO CLIMBING OF TREES OR STRUCTURES (except stairs).
• VIOLATORS WILL BE EJECTED WITH NO WARNINGS!
