The funny thing about "Stock Class Rules" is that they never existed at the time so-called "stock class" guns were the norm...back then, they were just "the rules". "Stock class" wasn't a format, it was just how the game was played because that's what was available. You could argue that the early tournaments amounted to the same thing to keep a relatively level playing field as things like hoppers and constant air came into popularity, but it was only later that it started being seen the way it is today, as a way to artificially recreate the "good old days". Even now, you can spark hot debates about exactly what variations of the rules are "true" stock class.
