THE LONGBOARDING SCENE IN GENERAL

This is simply a post where you can have a bit of a say on anything pertaining to the longboarding scene in general. Got a favourite spot. Got a worst ever spot. Seen any good surf videos. Listened to any good surf music lately. Why not just have your say.

Okay, I'll start it off. Worst surf spot - Garie in Royal National Park - nearly got killed there on a big dumper. Best spot - Scott's Head (luv it). Currently reading the authorised version of the life of Miki Dora - a maniac. Thing I hate most (surf-related) - people who knock what is being done, but offer nothing in place of it. See you in the surf (providing it's nice 'n small!!!)

emoticon Have also read that Miki Dora book. Great. Currently reading Surfings Greatest Misadventures. Truly cool. Worst surf spot - anywhere there's a crowd (which pretty-well means everywhere these days). Best Spot - probably Cabarita or maybe mid-Winter early morning Currumbin. My mother's just come in to hose out my room!!! See ya around emoticon

This is just a general reminder to all who use these Message Boards. Whilst you all have an opinion, and you all have a right to express that opinion, especially on these Message Boards, afterall, that's what they're here for, I must remind you that abusive language, slagging people off, and generally getting way off the topic/s at hand will result in your post being removed. If you've got a gripe with someone, then either keep it to yourself, or if you must air it, use your real name (be a man / woman about it). If you have an opinion on stand-up paddle boards, express it. Don't like a particular contest, say so. But do it articulately, and with fore-thought. Engage your brain before putting your mouth (or typing fingers) into motion. These boards can be great fun and a medium to express / exchange ideas. Keep 'em cool so we can all enjoy them. Cheers from the Moderator. emoticon

Great article in latest copy of Australian Longboarding magazine on the situation with longboard judging. Seems that a few (???) people were not too impressed with the judging performances at the World Titles in France. emoticonA few proposals have been put forward to try and remedy that. Check out the article. It's pretty insiteful. Cheers. emoticon
