I love when people say that the likeness looks like so and so. It's all objective as to who is looking at it. If you are looking for Goldblum, then you will see him. Me personally, I love the Medi sculpt a whole lot more, basically it looks sexier. Not that I am into Harrison Ford or Indy(not that there's anything wrong with that) emoticon , but the medi looks more stylized, like a work of art, and the Sideshow Indy looks like a toy. I know that others will think the exact opposite of that last statement, but they don't have to look at my figs, I do. So I say to each his own, but if there is a choice between the two for a 1/6 figure, then I say Make Mine Medi! emoticon emoticon

P.S. I also love that certain medi-haters are all like" His father looks great but he doesn't" they are only saying that because SS isn't doing an Indy SR., if they were, you would see the same people saying how it doesn't look like Connery, and SS is much better, and realistic, yada, yada, yada emoticon

It's funny how you say to each their own and then go on to say the opposite in your p.s. statement. What's even funnier is you calling people medi-haters just cause they don't like the Indy sculpt. That's all I got to say.

I don't think what I said was contradictory at all. I just think that it's all a matter of taste, and to go on and say that product A, is so much better than product B is ridiculous. I have the Exc. Indy on pre-order, and will be happy to have him in my collection. I also have a lot of SS figs that i love(Buffy& Angel). But when someone starts posting pics of Jeff Glodblum, what else can they be called but haters? Post after Post in the Indy thread on SS freaks, was clearly hate, after seeing one fuzzy picture people started bashing Medicom, and calling anyone who may like the product essentially crazy. I just think people should just chill, buy what you like, and if you don't like something, how about some constructive criticism instead of posting a big PASS picture? My PS statement only shows the Hypocrisy of the SS fans who claim to dislike Medicom so much. They like SS Indy, and say Medi-Indy is no good, but they all like his daddy. If SS was doing his daddy, then they would change their tune and say how Medicom's is inferior. To Quote a pair of great philosopher: "It's like that, and that's the way it is"

P.S. I respect your opinion though darren, that's what this place is all about.

I totally agree with you Mobeill regarding everyone having their own tastes so we shouldn't go around saying product A is clearly superior to product B. But you
seem like the intolerant one here.

Look back at the previous posts and was there one instant where I said SS had the better product? All I said was I saw Jeff Goldblum in Medi's Indy. I never even brought up Sideshow's Indy. Now you are saying I'm a Medi hater because of that. To clear it up I don't have a single SS figure. I have 7 Hot Toys figures, 8 Medi figures, 1 Takara figure and 0 SS figures. You can actually label me a SS hater cause I've never considered buying their product (I do think their sculpt of Indy has a better likeness in this case). They put out some nice figures once in awhile but I only stick with Asian companies. My preference now is Hot Toys > Medicom > everything else.

Furthermore I don't think I'm alone in thinking Indy Sr. having a better likeness. This has nothing to do with SS not releasing Indy Sr. To hypothesize that I would be bashing Medi's Indy Sr. had SS released their own version is just plain ridiculous. I'm seeing the two sculpts for what it is and it has nothing to do with Sideshow. One sculpt looks like Sean Connery and the other doesn't look like Harrison Ford (looking at it straight on) that is all there is to it. So don't try to go around and start labeling people Medi Haters. Like you said "To each their own." I understand that some people see Harrison Ford while I see a little of Jeff Goldblumemoticon . That's why I don't go around labeling people Medi c*** suckers just because they happen to like Medi's Indy sculpt.

Hopefully this is all one big misunderstanding Mobeill and we can go back to talking about toys....err adult collectibles.

Just standing up for myself that is all. I don't appreciate it when I'm labeled a Medi hater (aka Sideshow lover) for expressing my thoughts. Since when did Medi world become so intolerant to differing opinions? Would you guys prefer a board that only praises Medicom and bashes SS?

relax darren, this may just be an misunderstanding afterall. If u read Mobeill earlier posts, I believe he was referring to the freaks on the freaks board.

I personally prefer a board that is fair & reasonable, where all kinds of discussions are encouraged (of cos, except those that are too sensitive)

Maybe it is all a big misunderstanding Kaz, but I doubt he was referring to those at the freaks board since he specifically mentioned Goldblum's pic and those who hated Indy's sculpt but loved Indy Sr's. Funny thing is that when I posted the pic it was actually more for light humor. But I can definitely see how some may take it the wrong way. Guess I should be more careful in the future.

I've been here for almost a year now and Mediworld has relatively been a place where people were free to voice their opinions and engage in discussions without having to take sides. That's why I was so shocked to see Michael Crawford criticized so heavily for his Maul review recently. Hopefully it won't get any worse with the release of Indy in a couple of months.
