Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones
I don't know if they will fit but what if you waited for the SS Jones to come out and buy his head to get the glasses. Just a thought.

Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones
I agree, just wait and you'll see them turn up on Ebay. The Medicom Indiana Jones figures seem to be parted out on a regular basis.

Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones
Hey guys... just saw the Medi Indiana Jones for $75 in BBTS. It's a great price, and although I think he looks to thin, I think that it is cheap enough to justify... what do you think? I don't know if to buy one.
To all who own one... Is he worth it?... what do you think?
*EDIT*
Sorry in fact the whole Medi Indy collection is $75...

Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones
His neck really is skinny and it's really noticeable. Kenmoo had a gallery of Indy and Daddy Jones and it's pretty accurate of what Indy is going to look like.
It's got the newer, better QC body though and the accessories are great.
Just go in knowing that it's going to look like a TOY and not a miniature version of a real life Indiana Jones, and you'll be fine.

Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones
mmmm That's the deal breaker. I try to approach my 1/6 collection with the idea that they are small people, facsimiles of the actual character. For example, BR Joker, Dutch from Predator or Hellboy are some of my favorites. I like when people look at them and say ....damn!
Having said that I can bend my rules when I think that the figure is cool enough. For example Medi Han Solo is great, but it does have a toy look; on the other hand I wouldn't trade/sell it for anything; but if I knew in advance how it looked like, with pics, a review or a store display, then maybe I wouldn't have bought it. I think the look grows on you.
IMO Medi Indy has the look of the Han Solo, that toy asthetic; and knowing that in advance is enough to not warrant a buy for me.

Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones
With BBTS having a sale, I couldn't pass up on KOTCS Indy. I've wanted it, primarly because of the stellar sculpt. I usually don't mod my medi figures this much but I thought that the overall appearance could be improved without painstaking repaints (like mindbooks crazy good repaint). There's tons of debate over price on Sideshow's freaks forum, but in taking apart both figures from both respective companies, Medi maintains high quality tailoring with strong stitching, tight paint applications and (in the case if the Indy Rah body) the base body seems to have been made stronger to prevent breakage while retaining stiff joints and massive articulation. Also the colors of the clothes seem to be more accurate or (at least) appealing to my eye. After going back and forth between Hot Toys TT and the Medi body, I actually settled on the original Prometheus body that came with the SST Indy (go figure). It's a good fit for the overall look. I used an older HT neck plug that's almost half the length of the Prometheus. I would have used Sideshow's pants because I like the bagginess of them...but prefer the color of Medi's. Still needs some tweaks, but I like the overall look and this sculpt deserves it. The result is a very nice, older portrayal in Indiana Jones.

Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones
Ah! So the Prometheus is the answer! Was it hard to adapt the head to the Prometheus plug?
Thanks for the cool pics. I have regular Indy and have been racking my brain trying to think of the best way to improve his skinny neck look. I have tried a host of Medicom body swaps, but they haven't worked too well because Indy's skin tone is a bit darker.

Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones
For the neck plug joint, you can dremel it down to fit or just take it out and screw in a metal screw with a head near sized to the medi head hole.
For the feet, I used Hot toys ball jointed feet inserted into Indy's medi shoes and it fit right in. If you use Sideshow's shoes the will add height, but will be to long for the medi pants and you'll have to use Sideshow's pants. If you have a preference.

Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones
Thanks for the tips McHaley. How about the hands? Did you need to do a lot of work to adapt the Medicom hands to fit the Prometheus?
