i just had this image of redwing sitting in front of his computer screen like the police academy voice guy in spaceballs, making all his radar noises. then "I'm having trouble with the radar, sir. I've lost the bleeps, the sweeps, and the creeps. indy jones has disappeared from my radar"
Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones only if your radar is based on a stranded russian space station like the mir. i think everyone has given up on this. good - it serves takara right!
Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones Thanks for the hookup Jun with the pics!
Indy is a nice figure, but falls short due to Hot Toys' recent offerings. HT really raised the bar! You can tell this is a toy, where as HT's figures look almost like a real person.
We'll have to wait and see Takara and Sideshow Indy's to come out to decide which one is the ultimate Indy. But I'm pretty happy with this guy, with all the accessories he comes with. Plus, I have the Ark coming in soon too!

I know what you mean, but I just think Medi have a different aesthetic, they're kind of proud to be toys and have something of the 'designer vinyl' feel to them, where as HT is striving to make small facsimiles of people.
Like 'em both for different reasons, but HT gets my money everytime.
Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones i wish others understood that, wook. but this figure is seeing a lot of jerk-hate over at SSF. which shocks me because SS aren't going for a different aesthetic - they're going for realism (as can be seen in their protos) but when products actually hit they look anything but real in the majority of cases. they look outright suckfest worthy.
i said it at SSF and i'll say it here. i have a strong belief the SS indy will be a huge disappointment for most in terms of eventual quality. they're selling us a different item again. its like the difference between the picture of a big mac up on the menu, and the eventual flat piece of crap you actually get.
i say there'll be disappointment, but it'll all be overlooked. i've noticed a trend over at SSF. when an SS figure first comes out everyone complains and moans about how bad it looks. and then after a week or so, people are trying to convince themselves how amazing it actually turned out.
Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones es - haha that is so so true! I remember about SS padme. At first it was all hey that sucks etc...later ppl started saying that its actually not bad.
I also have high doubts about the SS Indy....luckily I didnt preorder him.
But Im worried about General Kenobi & Lara Croft.....hope they out good.
Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones weren't the images of general kenobi at SDCC finished ones. from what i can remember it looked pretty close to the proto. still looked more like cary elwes to me than ewan mcgregor but at least it didn't change. i don't think they could mess lara croft's head up too badly - especially as the video game style paint should be easier to do. the clothing is a different story though.
i think the worst traversty so far has to be aragorn. that was just terrible.
Re: Medicom Indiana Jones & Daddy Jones hmmm doesnt look so much like Jeff Goldblum anymore...now I can see Harrison Ford indeed! The likeness seems spot on for Daddy Jones. The downside for Indy seems to be the garments...it's worn too loosely on the figures. Doesnt seem to fit.. other than that I say " Good Work Medicom! "
