Support for secretary
I have been hearing on the grape vine that some members of the Fylde Private Clubs Snooker League are none too happy with the way the secretary is running the league. I know that he has recently been subject to verbal abuse with regard to what he is asking people to do to make the league run as smoothly as it does and continue to be one of the best if not the best on the Fylde coast. I would like to know your thoughts on the running of the league because personally I feel the abuse and critisim is very unjust and without this man in charge the league would be nothing and I dont think anyone else would do as good a job or do it at all because there are never any volunteers when its asked at the AGM.
I know I wouldn't want it!!!
Please lets air some views.

I agree totally with your backing for the Sec. My thoughts are simply put up or shut up, people are eager to criticise when they dont have to sort out issue's themselves. I think the website looks great, the league is Fab (Although still far too many Bandits for my liking, shoot them all I say). As far as the Secretary goes yes he is doing a great Job and his emails need to be in more detail and on a larger scale. Mike thats a gag pls dont do it!!.).
Thats my serious opinion, Sec keep up the good work.

Tol. good day to you and all thats viewing.
Like you say. Put up or shut up. thats the message we need to promote. Without our sec the league would be nothing. Lets get behind him and show our support for him and the great job he does.
By the way, does anyone know if Thornton social are still playing out of there or do they still have no licence?

Mike's firmness in bringing this league into shape augurs well for the future. Yes he does suffer from written diarrhoea, occasional over the top remarks, and one or two strange ideas but his heart is in the right place and volunteers like Mike are worth their weight in gold. You only have to look at the Fylde Amateur Snooker League to compare performance.Once again nowhere near enough handbooks to go round, just three league table entries in the Evening Gazette in the first half of the season, delays in the singles/doubles competitions and an abysmal lack of information. Compare that to Mike's information bulletins, this website, new initiatives eg prize draw scheme, new high break prizes ( which I will return to at a later date ) and there is no contest. Well done Mike.
