"Silverchair"..... were always considered clones of nirvana & pearl jam cause of Daniel John's vox & similarity of their heavy grunge style....
I used to trip out on Silverchair man.... Fav. albums "Frogstomp" & "Freakchair".Remember getting hold of the Freakchair album wth a live VCD.... They were brilliant live... Bunch of guys still in their teens makin some headbangin alternative music...

The new stuff like "Diorama" & "Neon Ballroom" was a bit dissapointing... Nonetheless i still do put on the frogstomp/Freakshow cd from timt to time...

Brian Bassett, 16 yrs old, hailing from the state of Washington, was recently jailed for shooting Wendy and Micheal, his parents and and drowning his 5 yrs old brother, Austin, last year.
Brian and a friend, 18 yrs old Nicholas Mcdonald were arrested after the bodies of the three Bassetts were discovered at their residence. Nicholas lawyers claim that the 2 boys were provoked into this act by the bad influence of SIlverchair songs, particularly 'Israel's son' by the band (Hate is what i feel for you/ I want you to know that i want you dead). Silverchair vehemently absolve themselves of any responsibility, saying that the song was is no way responsible for the incidents. At the trial, they stated, "It is a matter of public record that the song was inspired by a television documentary about wartime atrocities. The song seeks to criticise violence and war."
