Pentagram / Taxiride - VH1 Rock Rules.....
Saw a band yesterday do wat they do best after almost a year....\m/
Saw a band yesterday bak in their home city rocking ur hearts out in true "Pentagram" style
Felt proud to be an indian rock fan yesterday cause a firang ( australian ) band was run over & overwhelmed by an indian band.... "Taxi Ride" was descent but Pentagram was in ur face music as it has always been... Guess they did need to prove a point or two after wat happened last year...
Was great to see yash in the crowd heabanging to Pentagram... Vishal publically apologising for the mike throwing incident.. All that hate was replaced by some amazing music....
Happy to see Pentagram back to where they belong....

Re: Pentagram / Taxiride - VH1 Rock Rules.....
Ya Jits ... I thought Taxi was alright. But Pentagram is who I'd really come to see. And though there weren't any mic stands this time, Vishal did wear a Youth For Equality lab coat. I got nice and drunk and pretty much had a blast till I lost my phone.
Anyways ... awesome, awesome gig. I met up with Jash. Alls well that ends well. Got a pic of him and Vishal belting each other - all in jest.
I recall them playing Drive, Disconnected and loads of other songs, but once again too drunk to remember. I had a blast. ANd dude - air conditioning really helps moshing. It's like regular moshing - but more comfortable. 3 cheers for vh1.
Fali - awesome sound!
Alls well that ends well. I got my phone back, Jash & Vishal have made peace & I got to see another free gig in air conditioning.
(Anuj - waiting for the review)

Re: Pentagram / Taxiride - VH1 Rock Rules.....
Taxiride were totally enjoyable, some of their stuff reminded me somewhat of Barenaked Ladies (the BAND). They played 'Get Set', their only song that I was familiar with (and like a lot), and more songs with I think some 2 covers (seemed familiar, and I'm sure I havnt heard any Taxiride before)..
The entry to the Velocity building had a funny sign outside :P --> "No Entry For Taxi" - like 3 of them
Was upfront as Pentagram got up on stage.. Was a treat to have them back in Town, and I'm sure no one gives them a response that Mumbai does \m/
Public apologies were made, and no one made a scene for past-****ups. Of course, since none of the lame bands with lame fans were playing here today. Only the true Pentagram fans were here - yes, MANY.
Setlist included Drive \m/, Don't Care, Disconnected, TEN \m/, a few new originals, Where's Your Head At (Basement Jaxx), Living On My Own (Freddie Mercury - their version \mm/ - been a LONG time since they played this), Desire (U2), a Radiohead song, KILLER-Smack (Seal-Prodigy) \mm/. Lots of familiar songs, and old uncommon covers done again.

Re: Pentagram / Taxiride - VH1 Rock Rules.....
Pentagram..ahhh wat to say..my favourite indian band..crazy gig man..absolutely loved it..jus think taxiride shouldve had a shorter set man..they were extremely tight but got boring after like 5 songs..on the other hand pentagram was mindblowing..they shouldve played for atleast an hour more..gigs should start on time man..this is sh*t..expecting too much but this was ridiculous..a 9.30 gig startin at almost 11..and quite obviously petagram's killer-smack was AWESOME as always!!!

Dude, people need to GET to the venue before the gig starts. Our janta starts coming in only at the time.
PS: Smack-Killer PWNS
Oh also, Pentagram played BC Sutta too :P
