Johnnie Walker One Tree Festival 2007!!!!
Here it is!!! The big one for this year.
Here's a press release that was sent to us a while ago.
Hi Guys,
We are really kicked to announce the Johnnie Walker One Tree Music Festival, slated for the 2nd, 3rd & 4th of February 2007 at the MMRDA Grounds BKC.
This is our effort at paying tribute to the hangover generation, i.e., us.
Allow us to clarify at the very start please. We are not a bunch of environmentalists trying to save the planet. We are just a bunch of straight up guys who want to listen to some great music, the way it should be heard - Live. We would, however, love if you could actually plant a tree, just one, and say to yourself – I belong.
The Johnnie Walker One Tree Music Festival is the first main stream international music festival to take root on our soil. In our second year we have received some great response from bands across the globe, who like most, find our country super cool to visit.
This gig is here to stay, and will happen annually. With your support, we will grow this festival into a world recognized music destination.
So here’s the deal. Three days of real music. Great International bands, crossing genres from rock to blues. A great hang out space, good food, excellent alcohol, and if you choose to turn up, then great people as well.
This year, we are also working towards raising funds for a very special cause. The Special Olympics takes place in China in October this year. We aim to raise funds to send the Maharashtra part of the team to Shangai in October. All proceeds of sale of T-shirts and other merchandise sold at the festival will go towards the cause. Join us and be part of this effort to send our team to the Olympics.
The Johnnie Walker One Tree Music Festival is presented by Johnnie Walker in association with The Economic Times, Savile Row, Airtel & VH1. This event is Co-Sponsored by TATA GROUP, Akruti Nirman Ltd. Air India, ITC Grand Maratha Sheraton & Towers and CNBC TV 18, a big huge shout out for them for understanding and supporting our way of life.
TICKETS AVAILABLE AT ALL PLANET M OUTLETS & RHYTHM HOUSE FROM 24TH JAN. FREE HOME/OFFICE DELIVERY PLEASE CALL 99679 59789
FOR TICKET DETAILS SMS OJ TO 6882
The dream has been about creating a community of like minded individuals. Come hang out, it’s just a great community feeling. Also do us a favor and forward this to all friends!
