Abortion
Human embryo - just 6 weeks after conception. All the parts have been in place for two weeks, and brain waves are now detectable.
Second Month
Despite its small size, the unborn child now looks distinctly human (although it is human from conception). At this point it is highly likely that the mother does not even know she is pregnant. Brain waves can be detected in the unborn at about forty to forty-three days after conception.
During the second month, the eyes, ears, nose, toes, and fingers make their appearance; the skeleton develops; the heart beats; and the blood -- with its own type -- flows. The unborn at this time has reflexes and her lips become sensitive to touch. By the eighth week her own unique fingerprints start to form, along with the lines in her hands.
A vast majority of abortions are performed during this time, despite the scientific facts which clearly show that an individual human life is developing, as it would after birth, from infant to child to adolescent to adult.
It is crucial to remember that the end of the second month (7 to 8 1/2 weeks) is in the first trimester, a time at which a great majority of abortions are performed and at which the Supreme Court said a state may not prohibit abortions performed by a licensed practitioner.
From the facts of brain and nerve development, the pained expressions on the faces of aborted fetuses, the known ability to experience other sensations at this time, and the current methods by which abortions are performed, as soon as a pain mechanism is present in the fetus -- possibly as early as day 56 -- the methods used will cause pain.
The pain is more substantial and lasts longer the later the abortion is. It is most severe and lasts the longest when the method is saline poisoning.

Re: Abortion
An interesting quiz.
Quote: How would you respond in these situations? Be honest.
1. A preacher and his wife are very, very poor They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she's pregnant with the 15th.
They're living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending she get an abortion?
2. The father is sick with sniffles, the mother has TB. Of their four children, the first is blind, the second has died, the third is deaf, the fourth has TB. She finds she's pregnant again. Given this extreme situation, would you consider recommending abortion?
3. A white man raped a 13-year-old black girl and she's now pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?
4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She's not married. Her fiance is not the father of the baby, and her fiance is upset. Would you recommend abortion?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the first case, you would have killed John Wesley, one of the great evangelists in the 19th century.
In the second case, you would have killed Beethoven.
In the third case, you would have killed Ethel Waters, the great gospel singer.
If you said yes to the fourth case, you would have declared the murder of Jesus Christ!
God is the author of life, and He has given every single individual supreme value. Each life - whether inside or outside the womb - should therefore be valued by us. God knows the plans He has for each individual and has written in His book all the days ordained for us before any of them came to be.
When we presume to know better than God who should be given life, we are putting ourselves in the place of God and are guilty of idolatry.
Quoted directly out of the Evidence Bible.

Re: Abortion
Abortion means to cancel the process of life.
Murder means to cancel the process of life.
====
It's premeditated cold blooded murder.
You set an appointment to murder. You are comforted while the murder takes place. You pay for the operation of it. You leave the murder scene as though it was a nasty boil lanced and relief is in your life again.
You give out business cards to friends who need the same murder appointment.
Night comes and you must sleep. Only, who may come while you lay so quiet, and slash your body to pieces, ending the process of your life.

Re: Abortion
I have heard it said that women should have a choice, and I agree.
But the choice is made prior to jumping into bed - not after.
After you're pregnant, the choice has already been made.

Abortion = Murder
I agree after you have concieved your choice has been made. The only choice you have now is what to name God's new creation, and what color to paint his/her room.

Re: Abortion
The Healing Journey – An Abortion Story
Written by Pat Layton
When at 23 years old I chose to end my pregnancy, I was clueless about what God had to say about abortion. To be honest, I didn’t know what God had to say about much of anything. As a college student, I had fought for a woman’s “right to a safe and legal abortion.” It all seemed so enlightened at the time – until the day that choice was mine. In that moment of free choice, my only guiding emotions were shame, despair, and fear.
