Say It Isn't So
by Kathleen Higham

A terrifying thought comes to me
That hell is absolutely real
And the bad news is so very bad
It's a frightening way to feel

Say it isn't so God
Please make hell go away
Tell Your good news about Jesus
That He is coming for us someday

But first we need to get it right
And walk the Romans road
For all the answers lie there
If you get in that study mode

We need to seek The Gospel
As it tells us the good news
And many are talking about it
Even Your people the Jews

But there is not a righteous man
No not even a single one
For all have sinned and fallen short
Except Your sinless Son

Say it isn't so God
For the wages of sin we'll die
But the gift of God is eternal life
And Jesus is the reason why

If we confess that Jesus is Lord
And believe He rose from the dead
We will be saved forever
And that is what God has said

Can hell then come to claim us
God say it isn't so
If we believe in The Gospel
Our Lord won't let us go
