A sad end to old heros
Because of former douchebag allies this is what is happening to old heros. Countries like Venuzuela are going to make the same thing necessary for Vipers. It's a sad, sad world in which we live where someone extends their hand in friendship only to turn it around and hold a club in it at you for your kindness.

When It came to fighter interceptors, the Tomcat had, and still has no equal. For the Job it was meant to do, (and others) it did very successfully. The F16 is an entirely different class of fighter. I would say it is the most successful single engine multirole fighter today. The JSF has big (or small) shoes to fill.

I have to admit, I much prefer the JSF over the Raptor. I'm not into those future fighters at all. I guess it all makes sense why our grandfathers love the WWII planes. I guess the Viper is my generation.
Still hate the Tomcat though! Not sure what it is, but I think it had something to do with TOPGUN. Everyone loved the Tomcat when that movie released, and then I hated it!
